New guitar effects pedals from TC Electronic with mind-blowing features
TC Electronic introduces 7 amazing guitar pedals that deliver first-class tones right out of the box, featuring a true bypass and analog-dry-through design that guarantees maximum tonal integrity and ultimate clarity. TC Electronic believes in moving the possibilities of guitar forward and the 5 pedals mentioned above feature a new and ground-breaking concept called ‘TonePrint’ that gives users instant access to the sounds of their favorite guitar heroes. Shaker Vibrato
Time to shake things up with this awesome vibrato! This beauty features two types of vibrato: a classic true pitch vibrato and ‘latch mode’ where the effect is only active when you press and hold the switch. This allows for subtle vibrato and faux-whammy bar effects without having to tap dance all night. To top if off, intuitive Speed, Depth, Color and Ramp controls let the users make their own ‘shakes’ on the fly.
Vortex Flanger
This flanger goes from classic flanger sounds to a 747 taking off! Speed, Depth, Feedback and Delay-Time controls offer a creative and expansive palette of tonal options. Vortex Flanger is built with guitarists in mind, so it features a toggle switch to go between classic pedal flanger tones and 60’s tape-flange effects.
Corona Chorus
Corona Chorus is the go-to pedal for that shimmering and warbly goodness. With two different chorus settings – the classic, world-renowned TC Electronic SCF pedal and a Tri- Chorus – as well as a custom TonePrint setting, Corona Chorus handles any situation or musical style with flying colors. Also, stereo inputs and outputs ensure super flexible set-up possibilities, and Speed, Depth, Color and Level controls allow for instant tweaking.
Flashback Delay & Looper
Flashback Delay & Looper features 7 seconds of delay time and every delay type one could ever wish for – from TC Electronic’s legendary 2290 delay to old-school tape echo. In total, there are 9 different types to choose from, and it even doubles as a looper! Flashback Delay & Looper also features TC Electronic’s audio tapping technology, allowing users to set the delay times by strumming the guitar, and a toggle switch that goes between quarter notes, dotted 8s or stereo with different values left and right.
Hall of Fame Reverb
Hall of Fame Reverb is a collection of the ultimate reverbs, packed tightly in one cool pedal that handles any situation that calls for a touch (or handfuls) of rich reverberation. In total, Hall of Fame Reverb offers 10 reverb types for a world of inspiration! Halls, Plates, Rooms, Chambers, etc. will cover anything from subtle ambience to full-blown cathedral greatness, and Decay, Color and Level controls allows for easy and instant tweaking of the sounds. Suhr: Riot Distortion
Probando el Suhr Riot:
Recien desempacados de la fabrica Suhr en California USA nos acaban de llegar la primer remesa de pedales de el legendario fabricante de Guitarras/Amplificadores John Suhr. Les cuento que decidimos introducir esta marca a nuestro stock gracias a su gran reputación y calidad de sus productos. Sin duda alguna esto iniciará lo que esperamos sea una larga relación de negocios con Suhr.
Ayer tuve la oportunidad de probar un poco el pedal que provocó mi interes inmediato, el Riot. Despues de desempacarlo de una caja con un excelente diseño y empaque me doy cuenta que los pedales Suhr vienen con otro tipo de switch de bypass. Uno mas duro, de muy buena calidad y feel. En general la construcción del pedal es de lo mas alto de la industria.
El Riot es un distorsionador high gain. Y? dirán varios de ustedes... Este pedal se comporta de una manera diferente a la de otros distorsionadores tradicionales, mas bien responde como un amplificador a bulbo. Los controles son sensibles pero no demasiado,responde a tu toque,puedes controlar tu ataque de una forma natural y sin perder tono, tal como si lo hicieras en un amplificador a bulbo. Todo esto en un entorno de high gain.
El tipo de ganancia es transparente y con muchísimo punch. Toneladas de sustain y muy buena definición. Desde blues hasta rock muy denso, en general el pedal es versátil en si, pero su fuerte es la marranes. Algo que me agrado es la claridad y el comportamiento del Riot a volúmenes diversos. No necesite darle al máximo del Gain para obtener una ganancia con sustain increible. No tiene la necesidad de múltiples controles a los ya tradicionales en un ditorsionador. El Riot cuenta con controles de Level, Dist y Tono ademas del switch de Voice del cual les hablaré mas adelante. El pedal tambien incluye un pequeño switch y entrada en la parte alta del mismo que serán parte de un sistema de switcheo que diseñará la marca mas adelante.
En la prueba lo combine con un Boost de Xotic (RC Booster) y juntos hacen una pareja criminal. El Riot ha ganado montones de adeptos desde su salida en 2009, ahora veo por qué. Acerca del switch de control de medios ubicado en la parte central del pedal es algo complejo describirla pero te permite seleccionar pasos de frecuencias medias (todo a la izquierda lo encuentro mas muddy, mas oscuro como scooped) en la posicion media es la mas natural y abierta, mi preferida. La de la derecha la encontre enfocada al medio.
Si buscas un distorsionador fino pero a la vez que sea versátil con montañas de gain y sobre todo, claridad te recomiendo el Riot a morir. Si creías que un distorsionador no podía sonar bien enfrente de un ampli totalmente clean te invito a probar esta belleza de Suhr.
